Latest news and stuff!

Finally got around to updating the website, I’ve been a little busy on an other project, more about that later!

Having thought about it for a while I’ve decided to set up my own record label with the view to releasing my tracks on it and who knows maybe even other people’s as well. I’ll be releasing The Changing Man EP in the near future, although I still have to decided on the final name for the label! In the meantime you can listen to it via my SoundCloud page

I’ve been very busy recently setting up a new underground house night to take place here in Hull, called Freche Früchte, and the Launch Party takes place on Saturday 15th August 2009 @ The Square – Music Bar in Hull, with special guests, Surrealists, plus our resident djs Alex Altersyke, Nick Minardi and SysteMattiK. OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

(warning the contents of this blog may get you over excited! Some of it may also not be true…but then again!!)

Well it’s that time of year when the Christmas Lights get switched on in cities across the UK and here in Hull it is no different.

Of course that’s not I am excited about, the reason for my excitement is due to the fact that the greatest pop group of all time are due to make an appearance. Who am I talking about??????

The Saturdays of course!!!!!!

It’s a chance to see the fabulous Vanessa, Una, Mollie, Rochelle and my favourite of all, Frankie (sighs deeply). As well as the band site on MySpace, the girls also have their own individual sites too! WOW!!

There is someone else there, Leon somebody or other, who is switching the lights on. Never heard of him! From X-Factor, whatever that is!!

So there you have it, I’ve got my Thursday planned now I just need to find something to wear……decisions, decisions.

For those of you who have already bought your friends and relatives the Saturdays super new album , here’s a couple of other gift ideas for you to consider.

Why not check out Gaelle’s album, Transient, which is one of the most wonderful albums I missed when it was released in 2004, but so glad I found it and it is essential listening.

For those of you looking for something a little different, why not check out my friends at Tegleg Records, and purchase their fantastic CDs – Sponic Mesh 1 and Sponic Mesh 2. It will certainly get your toes tapping over Christmas.

Finally, for those in the Hull City Centre, if you hear a high-pitched girlish scream tomorrow…..yes, it’s probably me!

Part 12

It’s been a while…….

Since I last made an entry on here.

Was it due to laziness? Or the fact that life sometimes has a tendancy to get in the way. The reality is probably somewhere inbetween.

Anyway, instead of dwelling on what I haven’t done I am pleased to announce that I have redesigned the Part 12 website, www.part12.co.uk, and I am happier with the new simpler, minimal design.

For some time now, I have been comtemplating making all my music available as free downloads and as I have redesigned the site, I decided that this was the ideal time to do so. The tracks can also be downloaded via www.reverbnation.com/part12.

At the present time I am not working on any new material, I must confess that the creative process has proven to be far to difficult in the last year. It doesn’t help when you lose the work you have done when your PC dies and you hadn’t backed it up! However, as I wasn’t happy with what I had produced it was probably a blessing in disguise. But remember! Backup your files people!

I am delighted to announce that some of my music is to be featured in the new electronic music podcast – Electronicast.

Hello and welcome

Well I’ve finally gone and set up this blog, something that I have been meaning to do for a while, but something that I have continually let slip…

Until now.
